Pawan Jain, M.D.
Dr. Jain earned his medical degree from the MGM Medical College Indore, India in 1976. His post-graduate training is very extensive. Dr. Jain received a diploma in neurosurgery from the Bombay Hospital and Medical Research Center in 1983. In 1983, he served a fellowship in neurosurgery at the Post Graduate School of Medicine, Neurosurgery Clinic at the University of Vienna, Austria. He began his training in the United States in 1989 when he served his transitional residency at the Frankfort Hospital in Phildelphia until 1990. He completed a surgical residency at the Booth Memorial Medical Center in 1991 and went on to serve a neurology residency at the University of Arkansas, College of Medicine from 1994 to 1997. In 1997 Dr. Jain was awarded a fellowship from the Louisiana State University Medical Center in cerebrovascular diseases and stroke and was a fellow until 1998. Dr. Jain has been in private practice with Southwest Neurology Consultants, P.C. since 1999.
Dr. Jain has held many professional and academic positions in neurology. He is currently a clinical instructor of neurology at the Louisiana State University Medical Center and on staff at the Veteran Hospital in Louisiana. Dr. Jain is also very active in researching new developments in neurology. He has presented his work at many professional conferences and meetings, such as the Society of Neurolopathology and the San Francisco Neurosurgery Meeting. Dr. Jain has also been published in the Journal of Neuroimaging.
Dr. Jain in a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Neurology, and the Arkansas State Medical Society.
